The Artifact Shore Font

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

In Artifact Shore design has always had an equal importance to the music. To help us with visuals we often work with Steve Jockisch, a long time friend and colleague. Steve loves fonts. So when we wanted a custom logo type he was happy to help.

Taking cues from the manifold forms of German blackletter type; Steve created a fresh and modern font that has the control and expression of meditative calligraphy.

Steve also designed the Fun Is Near and Landscape Removal EP artwork. Check out more of his work here.
